The Corps of Discovery is the theme here; with maps, paintings and illustrations that document the expedition's time in Montana. Clark's return trip brought his contingent through the Miles City area in 1806 on the Yellowstone River. Eastern Montana has more of the Lewis & Clark trail (both westbound and eastbound) than any other place in the entire U.S.
